We believe you have the power
to raise more for your mission.

Nonprofits face immense pressure.

We know it's true because we've been there.

We know what it takes to make an immediate impact while creating lasting change.

And we know what it's like to never have a "typical" workday.

At Mission Raised, we help nonprofits find balance and create clarity.

We work with our partners to meet urgent funding needs

while planning boldly for the future.

Meet Our Founder & Principal

Hi, I'm Rae. I am the Founder and Principal of Mission Raised LLC, and my job is to help you raise more for your mission.

I am a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and experienced nonprofit leader. Through Mission Raised, I provide management and fundraising consulting services to mission-driven organizations in Washington, D.C., and beyond.

Prior to founding Mission Raised, I served Martha's Table in the nation's capital as its Co-Interim President & CEO and Chief Development Officer. At Martha's Table, I held responsibility for the strategy, impact, and culture of an organization committed to fostering equity and opportunity for children and families. As the head of its Development and Communications departments, I was charged with advancing the resources and reputation of a fast-growing organization.

During my time with Martha's Table, change was a constant. In my six-year tenure, we doubled our annual operating budget and tripled the number of donors giving generously to our mission. We embarked on a successful capital campaign, expanding our reach to both sides of the Anacostia River. We responded boldly to the pandemic, launching one of the largest privately funded cash assistance programs in the country. And we partnered with the neighbors we support to co-develop both our programs and our strategic plan.

This journey cemented the values I bring with me to Mission Raised: a commitment to seeking understanding, acting with purpose, achieving real results, and perhaps most importantly, finding humor and joy in the work. I am driven by my belief in the inherent value of every person. And I am passionate  about honoring the dignity and agency of the people we seek to support through our missions.

Prior to joining Martha's Table, I was fortunate to have served in development and guest services positions with a number of exceptional organizations, including Ford’s Theatre Society, the Shakespeare Theatre Company, and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. I hold an Executive Master in Policy Leadership from Georgetown University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia.
